Patient Statement to support the Flu Campaign at Manor Farm Medical Centre, 2020

Dear Patients,

To keep you informed of our plans to deliver the Flu Vaccination Programme this year.

You are our priority, and we will work our hardest to ensure everyone who is entitled to, and wishes to receive a Flu Vaccination this year is able to.

Due to the current situation, we are facing multiple challenges, and ask for your patience and understanding, and to work with us to help us achieve our goal of offering a flexible, patient centred vaccination service.

You may have read/heard that the government are wanting to offer the Flu Vaccination to all patients over 50 this year.

This is an extension of the usual programme, so there may be times that we experience a shortage of vaccines, depending on when they are made available to order from central supply. So, we ask you to please bear with us if there is a slight wait for your vaccination appointment, as we have to prioritise those who are the most vulnerable initially.

We plan to continue to offer our Saturday Flu Clinics, but instead of being ‘drop in’ clinics, these will be ‘invitation only’ to begin with. If you do not receive a letter to offer you an appointment please contact the surgery to book at your convenience.

We may also offer evening flu clinics, initially on Wednesdays, between 18:00 – 20:00, for those who cannot attend a Saturday.
